Sam, you have such a heart of gold. Soon after we first met, me as your dorm hall director (recently married) and you as my RA, you blessed us with beautiful fall pictures around the campus of OBU. Then, I received my first DSLR camera for Christmas. I remember sitting on the floor in your dorm room discussing camera settings. Back when words like aperture, shutter speed and bokeh were foreign to me. I was like a sponge ready to soak in all of your photography knowledge. Fast forward a few years and we photographed a wedding together! I still felt like such a rookie but with your wisdom and grace, you continued to encourage me.
Over the years you have given me beautiful family photos that I have treasured dearly. As I have grown my photography business and discussed time and time again how valuable collecting beautiful snapshots of ones life is, I appreciate them even more. When you suggested we do a session swap for updated family photos I was ecstatic. If anyone can capture the joy and love of my rambunctious family it is you. And even though I am now much more experienced, I couldn’t help but be a little nervous to take photos of the great Samantha Bumpers.
Thank you both for allowing me to capture this incredible time in your marriage. The sweetness and love that has grown in the 7 years you have been married is so wonderful and apparent to all who see you. I adore the way you look at each other and the way laughter easily bubbles to the surface. Zach, your enthusiasm alone shows your love for your wife. I pray that God continues to bless your marriage. I am thankful for our friendship and looking forward to many more photo swaps in the future.
