Sunset Proposal on the Arkansas River

Surprise: to strike with a sudden feeling of wonder or astonishment, especially by being unexpected. These days it is not easy to surprise people. Especially when it concerns something life-changing. Our world is in constant communication in person, via phones and social media. But Brandon did it. When he dropped to one knee beside the Arkansas River with the sun dipping down in the sky, the shock on her face was evident! The day that she had been imagining was here, the man of her dreams asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.

Brandon and Meredith have been in and out of each other’s lives since Kindergarten. Sharing a long history as friends before that friendship grew into something deeper.  They now both work in the same hospital and encourage each other in their passion of serving others. Meredith’s adorable smile was filled with elation as she thought about the fun ahead planning the wedding she has long been dreaming of with Brandon.

Thank you Brandon for asking me to help capture this moment for you both. Thank you google earth for making sure we had our exact location down and could time things perfectly. I am so excited for you both and the fun times ahead. I pray that God blesses both this time of engagement and the coming marriage. May you always view your challenges as the two of you against the problem and not against each other. Congratulations!
