A Garden of Roses

Family Session, Newborn

November 6, 2022

My father-in-law always says that girls are roses and boys are thorns when he talks about his grandchildren. He definitely has a soft spot for each of his granddaughters. I grew up with 4 sisters and one brother. It was fun sharing rooms, clothes and experiences with my sisters. As we have entered adulthood, they have become my best friends. If I need a listening ear, they are there. Need a dress for a special occasion and they will go through their closet. Need accountability, they are the first to step up. They are a built in support system that I hope I never take for granted.

Joana and Jeff have 4 beautiful roses each in their own stage of blossoming. McKenzie growing into a responsible young lady as she takes care of her younger siblings. Bella fully enjoying each magical aspect of the world around her while feeling the extremes of each emotion as only a 4 year old can. Everleigh trying to keep up with her older siblings and figuring out her new role as big sister. And then sweet new Sophie who is calm and content to watch in wonder at the beautiful chaos surrounding her.

Joana and Jeff, thank you for inviting me into your new home to capture pictures of your wonderful growing family. I loved watching your daughters love and care for each other in a way only sisters can. I pray God gives you joy and patience as you tend your roses. May He bless your sweet family as they grow. I pray they develop strong supportive relationships with each other that last a lifetime.
