Tying the Knot at the Old Mill

Wedding and Bridals

October 27, 2022

Partnership is a wonderful thing. Two people working together towards a common goal. It can be both rewarding and frustrating. I remember when my husband and I were dating. We were in college and thought it would be fun to be lab partners in anatomy class. Turns out we both are very stubborn and slightly controlling. So we ended up splitting our dissections in half. He dissected the left half and I got the right. I worked slowly and methodically and he worked quickly. We learned a lot about working together during that time. As seniors (one week after getting married!) we became dorm parents working together to create a home for younger students on campus. We planned and hosted parties for the girls that lived in the building. We relied on his muscles especially around moving day

Now I have the joy of being teammates with my best friend as we raise our wonderful rambunctious kiddos. Recently we’ve taken on a new kind of partnership. We work weddings together, mostly elopements or small simple ceremonies. I love listening to the sweet words of love and commitment as I work to capture the joy and beauty of the moment.

Each ceremony is unique with its own story. I’m so honored Tanner and Treva that you asked us to be part of your special day. I pray that you both enjoy your new adventures as partners in this wonderful life.
