The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. With a thin veil of clouds the light was soft and beautiful. Chasity’s gorgeous curls tumbled down her back as we took her bridal pictures only two short days before her happily ever after. Her face glowed with a soft smile until out of the blue we heard something akin to thunder. I looked left and one of the horses was galloping up to see what all the fuss was about. I rushed to stand between him and her spotless white dress. Once I was assured he was not going to charge her, we were actually able to get a few shots of him posing majestically beside the beautiful bride. However, one should think twice before including friendly horses in your photoshoot as he then called over his buddy and the two decided on a full exploration of our setup including knocking over our bench and trying to eat the bouquet. Soon after, we escaped down to the pond to finish our pictures as we didn’t want to roll the dice too much longer with her dress and flowers.
The night before the wedding presented us with a soggy rehearsal, but Chasity and Bradley stayed positive confident that it would be gone before the ceremony. Saturday proved to be sunny and perfect after the morning clouds passed on. I had the honor of capturing Chasity and her best girls getting ready and setting up for the ceremony. The natural beauty of the location was enhanced by the personal touches that canvased the setting. All the signs were painted by hand and even loved ones in heaven were given a place. It was touching to see the thoughtful gifts given to Chasity prior to the wedding. The love bestowed on Chasity all day was markedly apparent. When the boys arrived an hour before the ceremony (with Chasity hiding away of course) the atmosphere surged with energy. Bradley was so excited that this day had finally come that he could not stop smiling. He was able to step away for a few minutes to read handwritten vows that Chasity wrote for him, and he chuckled as he read her sweet words like he was reading a note from his very best friend.
Chasity and Bradley, thank you for allowing me to capture such a special day for you both. Your love for each other was evident to all who saw you. Remember the joys of this day. Laugh about the things that didn’t quite go as planned. And may you make many more memories together. I pray that God blesses you with a joyful marriage and a wonderful family!
